Christmas, a time to.... What exactly?!

Christmas time, a time to be with family & friends, to open presents and leave cookies and milk for Santa Clause...... Wait, what? Santa Clause? Really?! Oh that's right, it's a time to remember St. Nicolas. Wait, that can't be right.  So, what is Christmas really about? Well, lets break up the word.
Christ-mas. Let's look at that first part. Christ. Christmas is all about remembering Christ's birth. It's a time for joyful praise, a time to be with family and to be cheerful cause on that night, our Savior was born.
Mas, it comes from the Roman catholic church, it means to get together to serve Christ. So Christmas means to get together to remember Christ. So, in answer to the title: Christmas, a time to be with family and friends to remember Christ and to be thankful.
