Matthew 6:24: 24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
One true God, verses one man-made god. Money is not bad, but it typically becomes bad when we make it our idol, which is very easy to do. Sad thing is, when money is involved, mankind seems to become pretty stupid. We tend to do stupid things just to get a few bucks in our wallets. Even, for some, criminal acts. But I think it's better to enjoy what you do have, with a clear conscience. Proverbs 16:8:
8 Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues with injustice.
Money is the cause root of greed, it makes us want to become animals just to get more. This is what it means in 1 Timothy 6:10:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
